This is Team Wildcats for a Cause. We are high school students, mostly at Wheeler, who are a part of Lukemia and Lymphoma Society's (LLS) Student Visionaries of the Year campaign, working to raise as much as possible for LLS’s mission. Student Visionaries of the Year is a seven-week leadership development programthat is led by high school students to raise money to support LLS and their cause. We would love for your support for our campaign and LLS's mission to find cures for blood cancers and to assist patients and families as they battle leukemia, lymphoma, Hodkin;s disease, or myeloma. We have been given an opprotunity to help others and we cannot do it without your support. 

From January 8- February 24, it is our goal to raise over $50,000, which will go directly to LLS in support of its longstanding mission. We know this is an ambitious undertaking, but we can achieve it with the help of you. 

Our lives have been touched by those around us, whether it be family members, friends, or neighbors, who have been diagnosed with cancer, some who have lost a battle. LLS uses their dollars to fund research that benefits many other types of cancer than just blood cancers. We want to prevent someone from losing a child, sibling, patient, or loved one, and allow LLS to continue funding lifesaving research.

As a global leader in the fight against blood cancer, LLS:

• Funds cutting-edge research leading to breakthroughs in immunotherapy, genomics and personalized medicine that are improving and saving the lives of patients
• Provides free education and support for blood cancer patients and families, including personalized, one-on-one support, assistance with identifying and enrolling in clinical trials, and more.
• Mobilizes thousands of advocates to drive policy changes that accelerate the development of new cancer treatments and break down barriers to care.
